Art and architecture as tools for the perception of the world
Andreas Gursky is a german photographer from the «objective school», trained by Bernd & Hilla Becher. His works are internationally recognized and reflect a modern and globalized world. Herzog & de Meuron are two swiss architects. Their buildings testify a specific attention to the question of the facade and the role of the «picture» in the architecture. They have worked with artists for numerous projects (notably with photographers). This dissertation aims to find similarities between the creative approaches of Andreas Gursky and Herzog & de Meuron.
